Okay - I can finally post here as I got my new trike and rode it for the first time before.

I don't have much experience in riding recumbents. The only one I rode before my trike was a Burley Canto. And I don't have a lot of money to try out other trikes or recumbents. But I keep looking for the next one. I want to do some long distance traveling - not century races, just traveling. I wouldn't mind doing a century just to say I did it but I got to get in better shape before I try.

I plan to ride to and from work 10 miles one way four days a week and take my dogs out for their 2 mile run six days a week. I'm keeping a ride journal at http://www.bikejournal.com/journal_public.asp?rname=creakinator - only two rides so far. Once I get some mileage under my belt I plan to go back out with the Riverside bike club on their weekend rides and the Southern California recumbent group that I discovered on this site.

Congrats on your new trike. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

You have a lot of nice places to ride in Southern California. I was looking at YouTube videos of the bike path between Redondo Beach and Santa Monica, it looks real good to a desert rat like me.
