I like my Planet Bike 9.0 but if I was to do it again I would go with the 8.0 as the temperature sensor in the 9.0 seems to pick up reflected heat and read much higher than it really is, especially when stopped. It will show a cool down of 8 – 10 degrees when I start moving. As far as mounting I can’t help you there as I’ve never seen one of the Sun trikes you are getting.

I have a Planet Bike 1200 headlight/taillight set. Nice broad beam, although it doesn't go very far. Headlight is mounted on my Giant Yukon mountain bike, taillight is mounted on my rack bag. $25 US.

I have two sets of Blackburn Voyager 3.3 / Mars 1.0 headlight/taillight combos. Great intensity and distance on those headlights and taillights. $43 US.

I also have two Specialized Speedzone Sport wireless computers. They work great on both my Giant and my Sun EZ-Sport, but I'm not sure about the distance from your eye to the head mount on your Sun EZ-3 USX. If you are interested in the SpeedZone, you'd probably have to take your trike down to the bike shop and see if you could see it way forward. $45 US.

If you want to really see and have a pretty good knowledge of the electrical department of Lowes you can put a Task Force flashlight 60x on the front and realllllly see where you are going. I run one of those and a 3d-celled Mag Lite. The Mag Lite is set on flood because the Task Force is a narrow beam. I use a tractor flashing reflector on the rear.

Heeeeyyyy now you're talking! I was wondering about putting a 12-volt motorcycle battery in the basket, rigging it to power something similar to my MC taillight.... 143 super-bright LEDs. *G*

Then I could use it to power my GPS too.... hmmmm

I did all that when I was trying to figure out which light to use. After a bunch of engineering, experimentation, I finally went with enclosed flashlights. When the batteries die, they die and I put new ones in and keep on pedaling down the road.
