I see where Catrike has introduced a new model for kids -- the Dash. Great looking little trike but just too pricey for me to buy as a replacement for my son's KMX. It is lighter weight than the KMX and has nicer features including a much nicer rear cassette. Looks like my son is going to have to start mowing more lawns. Smile

I never had any kids but I do have vague memories of being one. I seem to remember having growth spurts. It would suck if a kid out grew the trike in a year or two. Catrike should offer a generous trade in allowance towards a full size tirke once it's become too small.

Yep, I paid about $600. for the KMX and thought that was pricey at time. The KMX is good for a rider up to 145 lbs with an x-seam range between 30.5 in - 35 in. Cat mentions a height range of 4'2" - 5'6", but no specific x-seam or weight restrictions. Don't think most kids will outgrow them if they are bought early enough, but its a lot of money to spend on a child's ride. For my son, I'm more likely to buy him a used Pocket (if I can ever find one I can afford) so he will have more room to grow. I'm just guessing, but I suspect that more of these trikes will be purchased by grandparents than parents. Wink
