I can add some links to pictures if you would like to see the trike (it certainly is one of a kind) as i documented the build in a different fourm but i have just joined and uncertain about the rules reguarding links, post etc.

I for one would love to see the writeup on the installation. If you don't think you can post it publicly would you please send me the link. The idea is very interesting. I don't think anyone would have any objections to posting it online here.
Thanks

My wife has different health problems so that’s why I’m going to put on the assist.
I think that was a good solution the engine is in the back and when she rides the exhaust will not affect her. Many of the new engines are also very quiet and do not use much gas.
The rules are different in many countries about using an assist the US are probably where you are allowed to use one with the highest power legally.

I did mount an assist and it works have only had 2 short rides. I took my dog with me she didn’t say anything she is use to being in this box when we take her with us in the car.
So now my wife should be able to ride more and climb hills easily and the whole “family” can enjoy cycling.
I might even use this trike more you don't have to use much power if you want to take it easy and you can go fast if you want to.

I took a longer trip today on my third trip to test how long the battery lasts with very little pedaling.
I got about 15 km with almost no pedaling.
It was fun riding without just about any effort.
This trike is a lot slower then my Sofrider and my Phantom. But with the assist you can get a good speed. Don’t have a speedometer or a GPS on the trike so I can’t say exactly what speed I had on the trike.
For someone an assist can be a nice option there can be different reasons for mounting one.
There is a picture on the Gallery.
I have tried posting pictures other places on this forum but it doesn’t work for me.
I have tried the different advice but it still will not host the pictures?
I’m able to post at the gallery but that’s about full.

You crack me up. That describes me to perfection. I'm highly indignant when the temperature isn't between 65 and 80. Riding outside that range is simply uncivilized. And that 'water falling out of the sky' thing I've heard about? Eww, I wouldn't even think of riding in that without a fully enclosed velomobile.

Have we been spoiled living in Arizona?

umm... yes. ...or was that just a rhetorical question? In which case; umm... yes, rhetorically speaking.

Oh, absolutely, garrybuck. I have mentioned, over on the Bikespeak forum, how living in Phoenix is probably the difference --- for me --- between riding and NOT riding, especially in the winter months. I read about these poor folks in snowy climes who have no option but to go to a gym and ride something called a "stationary bike."

A ... STATIONARY ... bicycle?!? wtf Time out scratch

I mean, isn't that one of those oxymorons? Like "jumbo shrimp" or "military intelligence" or "free trade"?

And speaking of "snow," the ONLY "snow" I'M interested in is one of those cold, sweet things you get at the end of a nice, hot ride. You know what I'm talking about: with the suffix of "cone."
