PostSubject: I love my new trike   Sun Apr 12, 2009 12:47 am

I picked up my new trike at the LBS today and rode it home - about 5.5 miles. It's a Sun EZ-3 AX model. The battery on my digital camera just died as I went out to take a picture, so once it's charged I'll put a picture up.

It is the most comfortable bike I have ever been on. The LBS set it up for me and adjusted the seat and handle bars. I attached the hydration backpack on the back of the seat. I felt so safe and secure on the bike. I have never felt so comfortable, stable and secure as I have felt on this trike. It was GREAT to roll up to a stop sign, gear down and brake and not have to worry about unclipping the feet and putting them on the ground.

I called the bike shop when I got home and told them "Thank you. It is a great bike. I felt so safe and secure on the bike."

I also took my dogs out for a run with it. It felt like I had bought the bike to do just that. My mom's adult trike was too high and the back wheels were much wider than on my trike. They can run right beside me and not worry about getting hit by the back wheel. And my arm didn't hurt as the seat is as high as my German Shephard's back (she's a tall GSD) so holding the leash was much easier. And with the computer I can keep them at a steady speed. We went about a 1.75 miles. They love their 'trike' runs.

I love my trike!

Congratulations on the new trike. Always nice to hear from a new "trike family" member. Hope you have many, many days of happy riding with the canine companions.

Congratulations! Trikes are just a hoot, aren't they? Sounds like you have a case of 'recumbent grin'.

Sure do. I keep smiling. The knowledge on getting the trike was the one thing that kept me happy for the past two weeks. Now I have to figure out a name for it.

Hi Christy,

Did Don's order that in for you? Congats, BTW, maybe I'll see you out there on the road!

Yes, Don's did. There are some great guys at that shop. Even though I'm not a road/race bike person they make me feel welcome when I go into the shop.

Isn't it rough to ride a bike in Dallas?
