You are MOST fortunate to have a good shop!

Isn't it rough to ride a bike in Dallas?

She's in SoCal.

That would make it pretty rough...

Hey, ya turkey. I saw an enormous flock of them birds not long ago. Got some half-decent pics of them.

What's your favorite classical music?

Large-scale Romantic-era symphonic, mostly. Bruckner, Mahler, that sort of thing, with some Baroque to cleanse the palate. I'm suspicious of anything composed after about 1899, although the tone poems of R. Strauss are a notable exception.

I always catch the New Year's Concert from Vienna on New Year's Day. Mostly Strauss.

I agree that the newer - as in post-1900 - classical is suspect. I like most of the old stuff.

My friend, you have touched upon my passion, and I would cheerfully discuss Music with you for days on end - but we would probably find it difficult to tie in with riding recumbents. Perhaps we can just bask in the knowledge of being kindred (musical) spirits and avoid the risk of hitting the "Off-Topic" alarm... PS - see the thread "what's on your iPod?"

I agree with the sentiment that the older stuff is better. I prefer Van Halen in the pre Sammy Hagar era. Laughing

HEY! Don't be hijacking this here thread. We had hijacked this thread with classical music, and here you come with this youngster-talk... Van Halen. BAH! Smile
