Hey good morning Adm, and thanks for thinking of me with the link. The original post you sent me didn't have that 'help' attached to the end of the address, so I didn't know where you were coming from with that.....

The IP goes like this. A long time ago I read a book by Kevin Mitnick, (sp?), called something like "Secrets of A Knight Ryder:" Mitnick was the Premier Hacker of his day..... It took another hacker to catch this guy that was breaking into so many places he shouldn't be.. One of the things he used to allude the FBI, was a proxy server system to hide his ISP number...... He did other things, using library computers that people left without logging off of, but the ISP proxy was the biggie....

I went on line yesterday, found a proxy server and didn't have to download software, just log on to this site, insert the address of the site I couldn't get on, boom I cooking with gas again!..... As recent as a few minutes ago, I tried to log on the original yuku catrike board and I got ....... "ERROR: Can't find web site yuku.com"......... Used the proxy server, and I was in..... I'm about 99% sure with those results, it's my ISP that keeps me off the Catrike board....

Now as to where you find the number, I'd have to say in some kind of tools section in the forum software that the administer is only privy to use ..... In days of old when alt.rec.recumbents. was the happening place to surf, you had two choices of viewing other peoples posts.... One view gave you a long list of information about who was posting, down to details like their operating system, detailed as to what the version their software was, the ISP number, followed by the post. The other view was just the post with no other details........

Well I've beat this subject up enough, again thanks for the reply and the web site to help with the problem....... Weather here today is going to be in the 70's with rain moving in late. Time to ride a bit, you have a great weekend!......;-)

There has been a SPAM problem just in the last few days on the Catrike Forum. You seem to have been banned at the same time they deleted the SPAM posts. Sounds as if you got implicated. I am, in no way, saying you did this, just that they may THINK you did.

Yeah, and some spam filters will gather your dynamic IP address up with a bunch of others on a suspect list of IP's of a particular ISP. It probably doesn't have a thing to do with you; you're just an innocent bystander.
