EZ-Speedster AX
I picked up a new to me, heck the thing only has about 5 miles on it so it’s new, EZ-Speedster AX. This is the aluminum version with disc brakes and SRAM 9.0 components. Guy bought it for his kid, who didn’t like it, and wanted to get rid of it.
I got it home and adjusted it for me, checked the tire pressure and lubed the chain. Amazingly the derailleurs didn’t need adjusting. The short test ride was uneventful. I’m used to a LWB with USS now I have to get used to riding with a pole between my legs, (get your mind out of the gutter).
I’ve ordered some shorter (155mm) crank arms, I’ve got these on my Infinity too, because I am getting too much knee flex. When they come in I’ll try a longer ride but right now I think I’ll just use it around the neighborhood. I’m going to keep it for a while and decide if I like it, if not I’ll sell it or use it for a homebuilt I’ve been thinking about building. The components are worth what I paid for the bike.
Pictures will follow in a couple of days in the SWB section.
