Looks good, is that a 26X24 or is the photo deceiving?

Hi Walt,

That's a 26 20. The rim is relatively narrow and the tire profile makes the wheel look bigger. Tire is a primo comet.

John,

Yea, that is deceiving. Looks like a fun bike to ride.

John:

I had never heard of Bentech before I saw your post. I visited their site at Bentech Bikes and was really intrigued. Complete, welded, unpainted SWB frame and seat kits for less than $500 (shipping included)!

What is the total weight on your yellow bike?

BluesCat,

My Bentec came in at 15kg with disk brakes.

I scratchbuilt mine from the plans and brazed it all up myself. I used muffler tube as it was easy to get and the muffler shop did the main bend for me.

I bought new wheels and brakes and salvaged the rest from discarded bikes.

The plans seat is too wide. I copied the seat shape from my LoGo trike. It is very similar to the one on the recycledrecumbent site. Incidently I've built several of those and they are all great bikes. Thanks ADC.

John:

33 pounds sounds great. I would imagine that the bent and welded chromoly frame you can buy from them would make for an even lighter bike, eh?
