Four years ago my wife and I did a cruise on the inside passage from Seattle to Alaska. The link above shows the scenic stuff we experienced on shore excursion bike ride in Skagway. The only thing that could have made this ride better was to do it on a bent..... From the sea to the top of the summit we came down was something like 3,000 plus feet. We were actually going through clouds at some points.

We did a second bike excursion in Juneau, and this one was great as well. We went by bike to the Mendenhall Glacier and ended the tour at the Alaskan Brewing Company with a lot of "Taste Testing!" sunny I found that I just loved their Amber Gold ale......... I was quiet the rest of the night at dinner and the stage show on board the ship......... Cruises and bikes, reminds me of that line in Field of Dreams........... "Is this Heaven?"........

That looks really cool! Did you climb up, as well, or just the downhill part?

Hey,

We had a big van with a trailer towing bikes take about a dozen of us up to the top, and then it was just point down-hill and go like hell....... It was an overcast day, and we actually rode through clouds on the way down.... Way cool ride........

Oh, another thing. That guy from over at BROL the other day that was so nasty about Cruz bikes, well would you believe I saw his handle on another forum, and I was able to chase this guy down to who he was, and where he lives. He builds bikes, small time stuff out of his garage I believe.....

Yeah, I know he homebuilds and that's the issue I have with him. He wants to put Cruzbikes down because his homebuilt FWD wasn't up to snuff. That qualifies him as an expert, I guess. Rolling Eyes THe pictures I saw of it weren't even close to a Cruzbike and I'm not surprised he couldn't ride it. Oh well, it takes all kinds.

Riding just the downhill side sounds a lot like cheatin'. Fun, but cheatin'!
