This year we plan on finding a new campground at least once every three trips. The only thing they must have is close proximity to a trail and a sewer hookup. Our favorites so far are: Fountainbleu State Park right across Lake Ponchitrain from New Orleans, it's right on the Tammany Trace. Gulf State Park in Orange Beach, Alabama, it's on the Paul Banyan Back Country Trails. Paul B. Johnson State Park in Mississippi, it's within 20 miles of The Long Leaf Trace, and Topsail Hill State Park in Santa Rosa Beach, FL it's right along the Tampoochee Trail.
