Gulf State Park, Orange Beach, Alabama
Gulf State Park in Orange Beach, Alabama. Site 462 is less than 1/4 mile from the trailhead.
We rode for over 20 miles on the trails, here are a few pictures.
There are quite a few bridges along the trail.
She looks harmless enough.
This is a really nice place to ride and the campground is really nice. Big pool, tennis courts, Wi-Fi, and ice cream less than 1 mile away!

I dont know-----it looks to be there is a large water hazard if you would happen to go off trail. See the last picture.

Yer lucky you don't have to go there! In Arizona, out beyond the suburbs, you can hardly go ANYWHERE with out seeing one of THESE guys:

I think in Alabama I would fish with dynamite, and Az I would carry a pistol.

A shotgun would be better in Arizona: with a pistol with regular rounds, unless you nail that fellow in the head with your first shot, you're gonna be lookin' for anti-venom. Bird shot in your .22 pistol would work, too.
And with dynamite, would you have enough good leather left for your boots and purse?

Hell, he looks like a baby compared to some of our huge Eastern Diamondbacks! This trail is 12' wide and that snake was approaching 7'!!! He has been around for a few years now, I saw him early in the year but only once. We'll see if he shows up again next year sunning his bad ass self on the trail!
He was a lot bigger than this little speed bump we came across in Pennsylvania this past summer.
I must admit though all three could kind of ruin your day if you got too close!
