The Silver Comet ( http://www.traillink.com/ViewTrail.aspx?AcctID=6032076 ) and Chief Ladiga Trails ( http://epic.jsu.edu/clt/ ). These Rail Trails are supposed to finally be connected and complete. I have not been up there to see for myself yet but after reading the reviews it seems like they are. I know of 2 campgrounds along the trail and one just off of the trail not far from Rockmart ( http://www.pathfoundation.org/pathfoundationfiles/TripGuide.pdf) plus, I'm quite sure with a bit of ingenuity you can find other places to camp. This looks like it would be a good trip for someone or a small group of people wanting to try self-contained touring. Parking a vehicle at both ends of the trail would make a very doable 2 day trip or parking at either end a slightly longer 3 day two way trip.
