Been kinda busy around here, and down in Tucson, this weekend.

I want to introduce to the forum a person who is VERY new to bicycling ... and everything else for that matter.

This is Keira:

I have already apologized to my son: I guess World Class Good Looks must skip a generation because little Keira obviously takes her stunning attractiveness from her Mom and her Grandpa BluesCat.

Here's another picture with an important statistic:

Yeah, that's right: 8 lbs. 2.9 oz. She is 20 inches long and entered the world via C-section at 7:22 PM, MST, 8/28/2009, in Tucson, AZ. Note the size of those feet, that is something she inherited from her Dad. Do they make women's clipless shoes that large?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to find a nice, tadpole 'bent trike for her first birthday. Whatta ya all think?

Alright! Congrats, Bluescat! Very cool. Keira looks very healthy, and some day she will forgive you for showing that daring picture. My best to her Mom, too, hope she is mending well.

I can see the trike, it sounds wonderful. You probably know, because your rides were already shorter pending for this event, that the tether to home is a little shorter just now - as it should be.

Mom is doing fine, thanks ADC.

Yeah, my cell phone always rides in the left cargo pocket of my shorts. Usually I silence it, but of course leading up to last Friday it is always on and I've actually answered it twice because I recognized my son's ring tone. Yup, shorter rides, interrupted rides, but it's all good.

Man, I tell you, I quit smoking way back in 1981. Still check my shirt pocket after good meal or right after ordering another beer in the tavern.

A few months ago, I was given a task by my wife of finding a good presentation cigar as a gag gift for a friend. I found a great cigar store nearby, stepped through their doors and just started inhaling like crazy. Wonderful smell! He took me back to their humidor room and I don't think I exhaled for about 10 minutes ... almost passed out. When we came out, one of their customers had just lit up over at their little cafe/smoker's lounge ... I guess I'm still a smoker after all these years because I almost cried.
