I am from Lamar Missouri (4500 Population) and have ordered a new trice Q20 direct from the factory. They are fabricating and will be shipping soon. I have never attempted to ride one before, but in cardiac rehab I used a stationary one and really liked it. I decided to retire, move and change jobs for awhile and started to ride back and forth to work. Love the pace of the small community here. I have been told that this recumbent will be the first here. so it should be an interesting journey. Besides the expected questions, I may have a beer can or two tossed my way on occasion by a passing pickup. cheers all, have a quality day and will keep you posted on the build up. and first ride.....pb

Welcome, pb!

Should you get a beer can thrown at you from a passing car, and it hopefully it doesn't hit you, I suggest that Lamar sounds small enough you might be able to locate the vehicle and owner. If you do, you might want to approach him/her with a few ideas:

1. Next time, why doesn't (s)he pitch the suds out in front of you far enough to allow you to see where it lands, so that you can retrieve it and keep the countryside clean of litter.
2. Next time, why doesn't (s)he pitch an UNOPENED beer out there in front of you, so you can share in the refreshment.
3. Next time, why doesn't (s)he pitch a SECOND, unopened beer out there in front of you, so you have one for the ride to wherever you're going and one for the ride home.
4. If (s)he DOESN'T know about the dangers and legality of chucking beer cans from cars, (s)he might want to think twice about doing it next time: incarceration and beer drinking are usually mutually exclusive activities.

I have found that discussing the issue with this sort of approach usually leads to no further problems with the individual: they think you're nuts and stay away from you. Smile

I wonder if you could mount a potato gun launcher on the under carriage of a trike? I will give this idea to my middle child to see what he comes up with....... The compressed air could be used as a "tap" for the keg. Don't know

I have a flaw in your notions. Most good beer does not come in cans! There are exceptions, of course, but mostly, that rule is true. Therefore, I would suggest that the driver:
A. Begin drinking good beer instead of Megaswill and
B. Place said bottle of good beer alongside the road, opened or unopened, so that the rider might be able to stop and enjoy the suds, courtesy of the nice motorist.

What do you get when you add one genius with another genius?
