My Name Is Mark I'm 40-ish and have always been a biking enthusiast. I Enjoy 12 to 30 mile rides In the bay area. My wife rides a Re-bike 818 but the pace is too slow, we ride together and other times i want a strenuous work out. I have a Slingshot Masa, This is a three wheel set up, I would like to ride with like minded individuals, preferably Tadpole riders, because there's a good chance we'll be traveling about the same speed. Those upright bikes climb hills to quickly, & I hate to slow anyone down going up -only to pass them going down on the other side. Ride or die trying Bay area Full Recumbent riders needed Thanks Mark

The two Marks will cause confusion to this old man. One of the Marks should be called MarkI and the other MarkII. _________________ Bill from Sebastian Giant OCR2 Mongoose Switchback Cruzbike Conversion " Pain is only temporary, quitting is forever." Lance Armstrong www.slrsci.com/

"Mark, Mark!" Sounds like a bulldog with a harelip. (Oops, Mark-I, weren't you the one talking about a ducking emoticon?) Anyways ... Mark-II! You'll find us all totally irreverent and willing to help you maximize your enjoyment of the best bike design around. _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*)

Well, From MarkIII here (also a newbie!) - I just had to reply. I haven't heard anyone in my recent memory refer to a cleft lip as a harelip! From those of us who have a cleft lip & palate (I do) , I take small exception to this irreverence, simply because I was taunted with that epithet for much of my young life.
Now that I've got that out of the way. I roomed in college with two other guys named Mark believe it or not - people referred to us as the 3M company!

Hehe - I think we saw ourselves as the "recording tape" kind of guys (3M brand cassette & reel to reel) One was shipped to Germany in the Army Ordinance branch, one became a doctor, and then there's me...now a recumbent geezer, civil servant, back to the lander (live in a dome in the country)...
