PostSubject: Grips on my EZ Sport   Mon Aug 24, 2009 3:00 pm

I've noticed that the grips on my EZ Sport tend to work their way off the handlebars, so a space appears between the grips and the shifters. It's not a real problem to twist them back up, but I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this and has done anything to solve it.

I've heard that a little hairspray on the handlebars will help the grips to slip back up when it is wet and will help to hold the grips in place after it dries. Anybody have any experience with this?

Take the grips all the way off. Spray the inside with hair spray, Re-install the grips while the spray is still wet. Wipe off the excess than let them sit for a few hours. If you have problems getting the grips all the way off, use a small screw driver to pry the grip away from the bar and spray a little window cleaner in the gap. Do this all the way around. Make sure you have cleaned up the windex before you do the hair spray. If you have to buy hair spray for this get the cheapest extra holding power stuff you can find. If not, whatever you have around the house is fine.

Thanks, Pete! I'll give that a whirl!
