I went on a behind the scenes ride of Kennedy Space Center on Saturday called Tour de KSC. This was the first, hopefully, annual ride and the first time security has allowed anything like this since 9/11. Employees were allowed to bring 3 guests and we had a total of 500+ riders. $2500 dollars was raised for cancer research, $5 of everyones entry fee was donated. We rode past the Space Station Processing Facility, Vehicle Assembly Building, and both shuttle pads A & B. We also got to ride up and down the shuttle landing strip. The waether was overcast, cold (for Florida) and windy. The ride up the 3 mile runway with a 15 - 20 mph direct headwind was killer, mind you the ride back was great. There were 2 SAG stops with snacks & refreshments and pizza at the end. I think everyone who went had a good time. Here is a video shot by a friend of mine. I'm only in it for about 2 seconds at the 3:38 mark going in the other direction:
