| Racer46 Yup spandex on a guy north of 50 generally starts to violate good taste. Some guys can get away with it, but most will cause others to smile and snork behind their backs. |

Yeah, about the ONLY thing which could be worse than that is a 60+ year old, grossly obese dude in a Speedo ... _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |

| I don't know.... We have a lot of guys north of 50 in our bike club. I won't go so far as to say they look good in Spandex; that makes me sound a little light in my SPD sandals. They don't look laugh worthy, though. A couple of them will dust you going down the road, too! One particular fellow is 86 years young. He claims that at his age, he doesn't buy bananas that are too ripe. On the other hand, he just had a custom bike built for himself two years ago and it's yellow in color. He rides a fair amount and even runs a couple marathons every year. Mark _________________ Bicycling is my drug of choice. Followed closely by beer.

| Yea...we have a few of those guys too, in fact we had one guy who used to ride with us on a morning "Coffee and Donut" ride that was 91 years young. The year he turned 90, for Christmas he bought himself a "girls bike" you remember them they had the step through top tube, I asked him "Jerry, what in the hell are you going to do with that bike" he told me that he'll use it when he gets "old" and can't lift his leg over his regular bike anymore!!! What a guy, he rode with us until he was 93, he finally quit riding about 6 months before he died. Never did ride that girls bike either. I still miss the old guy every now and then. Listening to him talk about some of his life experiences over coffee and donuts was fascinating. Truly priceless. Walt |

| Man, when I hit my 93rd birthday, I'm for hoping for just two things: 1. That I'm on the sunny side of the cemetery grass ... and ... 2. That I even know what the heck a bicycle IS! _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |

| Only 93??? I may have mentioned it before, but I have chosen my demise. Justifibly shot by a teenage husband while caught in the act with his wife. BTW when they haul me out I hope the police will notify one of my sons to come and get my bent. |

| Okay, so I'm hoping for just THREE things: 3. That Tiny Johnson can still do his only trick. _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |
