bday

beer chug

I'll have to tap a brew in your honor this weekend. Have a bit of a head cold so Momma Cat has me on restriction until I get better.

May you live long enough to squander ALL of your children's inheritance on toys for yourself!

Hey Mark,

Happy Birthday from me too. I can't tap a homebrew but I'll sure have Sam Adams Cherry Wheat in your honor. Hope you have a good day.

Evil people from colder climes Evil or Very Mad start coming into the Valley at this time of year to escape the snow. They bring with them all their diseases which they spread at all the KMarts, Target stores and even your local Walgreens.

They are called Snowbirds and hunting season for them starts right after Christmas and New Years.

Our season starts the second week in January and goes through the second weekend in March, ending abruptly with the influx of another really strange bird called the springbreaker!

Ah, I have heard of the Springbreaker, although I've only seen them in pictures; mostly from your part of the U.S. My understanding is the other area the Springbreaker inhabits is in Mexico, just south of the border, at a place called Rocky Point.

I guess the Springbreaker is an even easier hunt than the Snowbird. Although the Snowbird is older, and less agile, than the youthful Springbreaker, the Snowbird is less predicable and the females are a less desirable catch. And the Springbreaker feeds on a particular type of glass or aluminum wrapped fruit which impairs its ability to function, making it relatively easy to bag ... especially the very desirable females.

Would you know anything about that?

That aluminum wrapped fruit has a tendency to make the female springbreakers go wild and search out video cameras to prove their point, whereas it has a completely different effect on the snowbirds, especially the female of the species in fact the females morph into something called cougars! Have you heard of them???? Twisted Evil
