To earn my weekly paycheck, I fix turkey-processing and packaging machines for Kraft Foods (Oscar Mayer Div.). If you've ever seen the "Deli-Fresh" shaved lunch meat or the Chicken Breast Strips or Cuts in the resealable package, well, I work on the machines that make those packages. I don't have anything to do with the killing, eviscerating, boning, or mechanically separating processes, by the time the meat gets to my machines it's already fully processed and cooked. The process is highly detailed and ultimately boring to hear someone talk about, but it's certainly interesting and very busy work. When I'm not being a "turkey mechanic", as my son called it, I teach Sunday School and play keyboards for our church, where we're currently in the beginning of rehearsals for the Christmas Play, an original work written by ...well, modesty forbids. I am passionate about good music (by which I mean almost anything that isn't commercially popular) and am currently exploring my Swedish heritage. I like camping, long walks on the beach ...oops, wrong website...
