One of the main things I do when not on my bike is here http://www.gulfcoastkayakfishing.com/ Catching a big fish and getting pulled around all over the place is a blast. Especially if you're out in the Gulf and not the Bay. In the Gulf you never know what you're gonna catch, could be anything from a big old bull redfish or Cobia, to a shark or tarpon. Great fun, plus some of the fish taste pretty good!

Ok, I should confess to what I do......
I am a retired mechanical engineer still working part time (T,W, Th) so I can afford my toys! It really is great because just about the time I get really pi$$ed off about how stupid everybody and everything is, I get 4 days off to cool down!! Of course I have a few bent bikes to break the monotony of riding and 2 race karts to fill about 16 weekends during the good weather. Sure is fun being competitive with the teenagers and the twenty somethings! I do feel very blessed that I can race with the youngsters and not get blown away. It is strange I have no desire to race bikes though. I really enjoy cruising along and talking with fellow riders. We have a lot of paved trails very close to my home and I do spend a bunch of time on them. I also do a lot of fresh water fishing and some salt, when I get to the Gulf coast. In my spare time Shocked I fly radio control sailplanes which is what is left of a looong interest from age 7! I flew compitition since 8 years old of all type of planes. Oh yeah, I have a wife to use up some time and 11 g'kids scattered around the country (unfortunately).
So-o-o-o-o, maybe you will understand why I am not in here a lot. Laughing Also I spend all day on the tube at work (CAD) so when I get home I want to do other things!!

When do we get a night turkey ride around the lake report??

Jim - the report was posted in the "Once around the lake, with feeling" thread. There's even a photo, if that news isn't enough to scare you away from checking it out.

No I have no plans of going to the North Pole ice to unstable in summer and polar bears in the winter season and very dark. If that is what you meant?
South Pole is a continent and there is some considerable height inland which means it’s even colder and both places can get a lot of wind!
Riding conditions probably not good. crash

I would like to take a ski trip in the mountains again perhaps this winter but I will look at the weather forecast first. Very Happy
