PostSubject: Here is what I did today.   Fri Mar 20, 2009 12:59 am

It was such a nice day today that I had to go back down and ride along the National Seashore. It's such a great place to ride. I never get tired of the views down here. The best part is that there is hardly any traffic on weekdays. Even during Spring Break!

Surf fishing, they catch a lot of Pompano down here. The boat is cruising the shoreline looking for Cobia, they're due any day now.

Nobody in front of me.

No one behind me.

Just above me!

It was a day worth saving.

I know...too cool, right! It is strange that nobody rides on this road. I'm not complaining though. It's get a little busier when you get to Pensacola Beach but then thins out again when you get close to the road for Ft. Pickens.

I'll put this in the destination tread as soon as I confirm the road is open all the way to Ft. Pickens, probably next week, I work this weekend Crying or Very sad . There are National Park campgrounds right on the beach down there too Very Happy.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I see one big problem here:

Went 14 miles today. Wanted to go longer but got a late start. Best average speed for a ride over 12 miles to date 14.3 mph today. Had been averaging about 16 but then turned into a head wind for the home leg. No pictures, nothing much to look at on a road ride in the sub-urbs, oh and I didn't take the camera.
