Is there any way to have the forum set up so it would return to the section that I have just read-- instead of returning all the way back to the beginning topic.
It just means I have to scroll down again to move to next section.
I realize this might sound confusing and it is just a minor item I could live with.
I use my browser back arrow after I read a post to return.
thanks

Believe me I know what you're talking about, it bugs me too. Let me do some research in the admin panel and I'll see what I can do
.

OK, Apparently there is no way to change the settings to return you to the forum you were at with out going back to the beginning. About the only thing I can do is to shorten the forum page by condensing the sub forums if you would like me to do that.
Forumotion apparently wants people to see the adds at the top of the page because that's how they pay the cost of operating the forum and those adds keep the forum free for us to use.

Hey you guys call it, I'll set it up the way you want not a problem.

I'm OK the way it is. A pretty minor inconvenience to keep it free!

Yea it's OK but I also agree with the others it is a pain in the butt. The gain in condensing certain forums, it would make the front page shorter so you don't have to scroll so far to get back to where you were.

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. When I hit the back button I return to the same place onthe page that I started from. Mabye it's a browser setting and not a forum setting?

I go to "view posts since last visit" so I don't have to scour the whole main screen for new posts. Then the back arrow returns you to your destination unless you post. I don't have any issues with it.
