OR SALE – EZ Sport AX. This bike has been altered, we think improved. The bike has been ‘chopped’, meaning that the heavy top bar typical above the classic teardrop shape of this frame has been removed. I know this improves the ergonomics of the bike for the rider, and reduces his/her wind resistance as well by lowering the riding position significantly. This aluminum bike is now nimble, responsive, and every bit the rival to it’s richer cousin, the Tour Easy. The Sport is also a much more appealing looker without the top bar, don't you think?

The seat is mounted onto an oak plank that is nicely finished on the frame. Simple drilling on this plank allows for infinite adjustment for the seat for all riders.

Other things you should know. The front wheel, handlebar, and front derailleur are original to this bike, all other components have been substituted onto the original frame and fork. The following are new parts I got from a BROL friend that turned out perfect for this bike –

Shimano black Deore rear derailleur
Shimano black Deore brakes FR & RR (including the levers)
NEW 52-42-30 triple 170mm crank Lands Free & bottom bracket

I’ve re-cabled the bike, used a new chain (SRAM PC-971), added new half pipe twist grip shifters (SRAM 7.0x).

It has a shiny set of new platform pedals, with new power grips.

It currently has a used 7 speed freewheel hub and aluminum rim salvaged from a mountain bike, I have a good 26” cassette hub, but I don’t have a cassette for it, if you are interested in me upgrading the bike for you. If you want to do that yourself, all you need is the wheel and cassette – the derailleur, chain, and shifter are all 9 speed capable. Buy the bike and upgrade it later when you are sure you love it.

Red/silver paint is in good shape.

Black seat is the same sling seat I build and use for my Recycled Recumbent bikes, very comfortable, great lumbar support. This one has some use by a former owner, but is close to new, and was made for this bike.
