My church is hosting an event for Tourderevs which is a bike ride by three pastors to raise awareness of hunger both locally and worldwide. They will be riding a triplet made of bamboo. One of pastors rides a lowracer recumbent but that will not be part of the event.
The local bike ride with the revs will take place at 4pm May 26 in the Villages (Florida) on the recreational paths and will last about an hour. The pace will be slow enough for most riders. Although the organization, World Hunger, is Lutheran they support local food pantries through grants, so we are encouraging anyone interested in world hunger to participate. Tourderevs has a website,
www.tourderevs.org, where more information is available including a video which show the revs riding their single bikes including the lowracer. My wife and I will be on the ride so it will include at least a bamboo triplet and a Greenspeed tandem. Please let me know if you would like to be in the event so I can let you know exactly where we will be meeting.
