Have you got a link? I'm supposed to be off next Saturday, if we get this shuttle off the ground before then.

Hi Pete,

It's on the Fla. Biking calendar. If you don't find it, let me know as I have the registration form here, somewhere. I can fax it to you.

Found the site but then I got busy and didn't have a chance to tell you. We didn't launch today, try again tomorrow.

Pete:

Wow, yeah, looks like there were several lightning strikes they want to evaluate.

11 strikes. Guess who supplies the data they're evaluating?! Rolling Eyes Most of the data is posted on our internal web site but we're required to produce 1 hard copy of each report. 16 reports per strike. The shortest report is 8 pages the longest is 112. They needed a cart to carry all the paper. To be fair, some of the strikes were so close together we treated them as one so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

It must be fun to be an important bureaucrat.

Pete:

I would love to be involved in something like that. I have been a fan of the space program ever since I cut school at the age of 11 to watch Alan Shepard go up in Freedom 7.

I wanted to be an astronaut, but that dream went out the window when I developed nearsightedness at age 13. Couldn't be a pilot if you needed glasses, and couldn't be an astronaut if you weren't a pilot. Sad
