Assault of the Withlacoochee Trail. Update

Hey guys,

So far 25 of you have made reservations at the Central Hotel and a bunch of local riders will help us pollute the Withlacoochee trail with all kinds of recumbent contractions.

For some reason some of you assumed that because I will be going to North Carolina right after the Withlacooche Invasion, that I would miss this event. Trust me, the ONLY way I'll miss it is if I'm dead in a coffin.

I think you will agree that this is going to be a memorable event of the too-much- fun-to-be-legal kind. We got some nice treats planned but if I give you more details, I'd have to ask Bob and Phil to run you over with their recumbents.

Suffice it to say that .... if you plan to miss it..... YOU WILL BE SORRY and you'll be kicking your self in the butt for a long, long time.

By the way, my head count seems to be totally wrong as it does not jive with the number of folks that have told me that they are probably going to be there (I probably screwed up my record) and does not jive with the number of active reservations. I will post the NAMES of the folks in my list VERY SOON.... and if you're name is not on the list, I will ask you to send me an email ASAP. I will need to know how many folks plan to participate so we can fine tune the plans.

The FINAL schedule of EVENTS will be posted in about two weeks so STAY TUNED and NOPE, we won't tell you more cuz we don't want to screw up a surprise!!!!

Wish I had signed on to this group and known about this event earlier. I committed to ride in the Katie Ride for Life on Amelia Island on the 18th. I primarily ride with DF friends. It would really be nice to go on some recumbent group rides.

C'mon on down on Saturday evening and ride Sunday morning. I'm not sure since I haven't seen any definite itineraries but there'll probably be someone there for rides after the breakfast ride on Sunday. If not, I'm sure there will be more. I know there will be this fall.

Basically there is an early morning Bagel Ride to Floral City. Short 12 mi. ride for breakfast at that point those that have longer distances to get home will be leaving and those more to the local side will probably ride more throughout the day. Check out for the Motel is 11:30 am I believe. Most Riders will be gone by 3:00pm that's pretty much the way the last Invasion went. No one will be staying Sun. night. If you can get there Saturday afternoon or evening for some of the get togethers you can meet some people have a few drinks beer chug

checkout everybody's ride or bikes and really enjoy yourself and really that's half the reason for going. Heck meeting Jose Very Happy

If all goes well I will be terrorizing all bodies on the trail. The plan for is to drive over to Floral City, pick up my Cruzbike conversion and continue my learning of the FWD recumbent. Road one for a little bit down in Margate, thanks Josh, was comfortable enough to squeeze my bride for the necessary dollars to add a bent to my stable. I will wear my "yellow" jersey to show-off I am a beginner on this mode of transportation, so steer clear ...... What a Face

This morning it was -5°C that’s cold for this time of year but it’s a clear blue sky and the day temperatures are good but I still have to wait a few weeks before I can use shorts. I hope all of speedy
