A picture of the frame stripped with the seat installed:

One of my progress so far:

Front drop outs installed, wheels installed, BB in the boom and boom attached to the drop outs. Waiting on the steering adapter from Nashbar so I can finish the easy stuff. Then it's on to cables and chain.

I think this frame is going to be a little large for me. Stand over height before I installed the seat is 28", my inseam is 29". This bike was sitting in the shed so I'll build it up as a trainer. If I like it I'll get a bike with a smaller frame.

Looks like it's coming along well, though! Starting to look like a Cruzer.

defjack, The top tube on yours looks a lot lower than mine. My stand over height without the seat is 28". Seat height is about 30". I'll probably loose about an inch if I convert to road tires. More than likely I'll just find a better doner.

Steering adapter came in yesterday and I picked up a set of cables from Wally World for about $5 so I think I have all the parts to complete the bike.

You are right. My frame has an oversize decal on it so it looks like I got lucky. It looks like the crossbar is longer on mine. Jack

A question for the Cruzbike gurus.

Step 94 in the instructions says that a cable stop is provided on the underside of the top tube for the front derailleur cable. My top tube has no such cable stop. Any idea how I can mount the cable, short of taking the top tube to a welder? scratch

You can get one from Universal Cycles. Look under cables and housing. Jack

Thanx Jack, you put me on the right track (poetry alert). The ones Universal had were 1 1/8" and I needed 1 1/4", found them on eBay and will order when I get home from work.
