My 2008 Rans Stratus came with Sram X3 derailer. While it worked flawless, when getting the bike ready to ride this year, I found that the pulleys on the derailer couldnt be cleaned and serviced since they are rivited in. Today I received the new Sram X7 from Hostel Shop. After installing the X7 and adjusting it. I rode about 30 miles. It too shifted flawlessly. Untill I had got my Tailwind in 2005 and the Stratus last year I had never heard of Sram. Now I dont think I would buy anything but Sram. Just my opinion.

Sram used to be called Sachs.

I only buy Sram chains.

I have the X9 Sram on the Catrike and never any shifting problems. I'll never go back to Shimano if givin a choice.
