| Hmmm. Shouldn't the sign be facing the other way, or is the road leading up to these two excellent dirt paths worse? _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |

| It's actually an access road through the middle of an orange orchard. It's not an actual road and nobody would go on it except to park and make babies or smoke dope. I've seen the sign for a long time. It finally dawned on me to stop and take a picture for you all. Mark _________________ Bicycling is my drug of choice. Followed closely by beer.

Ah, driving out to park on an orchard road ... making babies and smoking dope (not necessarily in that order)... Those were days, eh? ... Why, I remember the back seat of a certain 1955 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 two door hardtop ... great back seat ... curved forward at the outside corners like a limousine seat ... almost the size of a twin bed ... put the front seats all the way forward and a person could get down on their knees on the floor back there, facing backward, and there would still be plenty of room for a person to sit in the seat proper, right in front of them, facing forward, and ... ...
Hmph! Harumph! Great picture, Mark._________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |

I had a '71 Buick Electra Limited. Not quite THAT versatile, but quite roomy for such activities. For us, though, it was corn field pivot roads.

That's probably something I miss the most about the great old huge American made automobiles: the Liebensraum (Great double entendre there).
It was cotton field pivot roads in the Phoenix area, and I preferred the citrus orchards. Those dang cotton farmers would be up all hours of the night, opening up the irrigation valves so a lot more of the water would get a chance to sink into the ground before it evaporated in the hot desert sun. _________________ BluesCat -----> 2008 Sun EZ Sport CX - "Bluetiful", 2001 Giant Yukon SE - "The Roadley", 1986 Batavus Course - "DutchGrl"---------0 ---------\__^o\ ------(*)`"''"""(*) |

Mark[/quote] We always watched the submarine races behind Miami International Airport, on Perimeter Road, sometimes in a VW Beetle. _________________ I.M.Bent

| A VW Beatle was a veritable limousine compared to what I drove in high school, an MG Midget. _________________ Pete
