PostSubject: EU rider-in-waiting   Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:21 pm

I am a European recumbent rider-in-waiting. I live in the Netherlands and just ordered a Dutch 'bent (Nazca Gaucho). Unfortunately, I still have to wait a little while for delivery. So instead of being occupied with 'bent riding, I am just preoccupied with it. Thank goodness for blogs and such. study
Hopefully, I can officially join the ranks of the European riders just as the spring weather gets warm and sunny (oh please, oh please!!!). sunny recum
Almost yours,
Charlie

welcome European rider-in-waiting! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being preoccupied with bikes and bent riding. I think you may find that to be a common trait around here. At least I know that I am.

Old Fart? I beg to differ, dear sir - I am merely a 23-year-old with 30 years' experience. My farthood is as fresh as an April morning. Recently, I was in an antique store and noticed that they had a collection of toys there that I remembered from my youth. I asked the young lady behind the counter, "If these are antique toys and I remember playing with toys like these does that make me an antique too?" She gave me a gentle smile and replied, "Oh no, you're not an antique until you're 100 years old - until then you're a collectible." Made my day.

If a "young" lady told me that, it would make my year. Very Happy
