Just curious - anyone ever had any dealings with the ActionBent co. out of Washington State? I've seen a lot of his stuff on eBay and visited his online store. He deals in Taiwanese stuff, which looks half-decent if one's expectations are properly set, and his prices are definitely attractive. Might be worth a look if anyone is researching entry-level rides?

I haven't had any experience personally, but thought for awhile about getting one to use as a commuter. They have decent level componentry and seem to have a loyal following. There is a action bent user group on Yahoo groups for the devotees. Speaking of which, I should pop over there and offer them the invite to this forum!

That's been my impression, to, Admin. You have to know basic bicycle assembly, to start, which means you also need to know how to fine-tune your shifting and braking. Not that it's hard, but people tend to think it's voo-doo science, or something. Only wheels and wheel-building involve Voo-Doo.

What I've read, though, is they are a tinkerer's delight. Lots of mods you can do.

That's basically it, and so many people don't have a clue and then you end up with the horror stories.

I post on BROL sometimes, but I'm not real active. I used to be, years ago. There are some people on BROL I'd just as soon didn't come over here.
