One great thing about living out in the center of the country, is the fact most of the crazies are far away. Sure Im probably a member of a dying breed, but my wife and I dont live much different than we did 50 years ago. Sure we have a few more toys like computers and flat screen TVs but our basic life style really hasnt changed that much

So please--------if you are really weird, stay in Calif or the east coast!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to smoke dope.... When I lived in Nebraska. Twisted Evil I gave that up when I moved to California 23 years ago. Guess where the meth capital of the US is now? Iowa and Nebraska. They use anhydrous ammonia, which can be easily stolen in the corn belt. Richard, I agree that the midwest is generally saner than some of the more populous areas, but it's not totally immune to wierdos and drug problems. They're just fewer and farther between because of lower population. I read the Omaha World Herald and read about a lot scarier stuff happening in Omaha than in the area of SoCal I live in. And let's not forget about the bong cat dude in Lincoln. That made national news.

I seem to recall that as a teen (late 60's) I had a friend who lived in Nebraska. I visited him for a week one year and the worst part about that visit was when we were done sharing a joint or two or was it three scratch hmmm, I can't seem to remember...anyhow, we couldn't find a dam* Convenience store anywhere, and we were pretty dang munchy too, if you know what I mean....!!!

Now that I live in Florida I haven't had a toke in...oh heck, at least 30 years. I, like Mark, read some papers from way out in the sticks of Pennsylvania and Ohio and they seem to have a lot more problems there than anything I've seen around here.

Well during the 60's and the 70's I kept my crew cut, worked hard in the computer industry and started my family. In fact I viewed the "hippies" as brain damaged. Golly I missed out on the whole drug scene and probably vd. It was a time that those people thot the whole world owed them a living.

The only time I had short hair was in the late 60's, '69-'73 in fact when I was employed in the U.S. Army by good 'ol Uncle Sam and got to travel the world, well part of the world anyway. I didn't consider myself brain damaged and I sure as hell didn't think the world owed me anything, still don't as a matter of fact....I think I better quit there, otherwise..... Embarassed

Uhhhh ... yeah! (said with the inflection of a Cheech and Chong routine) drunken

Those cookies ..... uhhhh .... they gonna be Oreos in a 20 lb. bag?

I hear, in southern Arizona, to handle the latest up-tick in MJ traffic, Papa John's is gonna come out with a 5-foot-diameter pepperoni and sausage Supreme! Too bad beer don't come in a six-pack of 1 liter bottles!

Dang, be right back, I gotta go raid the fridge... tongue
